Overview

The Field Trip Coordinator will plan and implement field trips and daily activities for the participants in the Summer Day Camp program, and provide assistance with staff scheduling and questions regarding the daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee logistics of off-site field trips prior to staff training.
  • Communicate with outside vendors in order to confirm reservations, parking, waivers needed, etc.
  • Report all program changes to Site Leader & Youth Program Director.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships at all times with children, parents and co-workers.
  • Organize & keep track of bus rosters and admin materials as needed.
  • Develop positive parent communication explaining details of each field trip to be included in the weekly newsletter.
  • Communicate daily updates to directors during field trips to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Lead staff training on field trip essentials and safety.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
  • Build and maintain order and enthusiasm in a group.
  • Driving a 14 passenger mini-bus.
  • Create an environment that promotes belonging, achievement and relationships among participants and staff.
  • Adhere to all program rules as outlined in the Staff Manual, Personnel Policy, and Code of Conduct and Risk Management Manual and any other program specific guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining program standards at all times in regards to Quality Check Standards and Licensing Regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records at all times to include:
    • Attendance rosters
    • Medication Logs
  • Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
  • Attend/complete required abuse risk management training
  • Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers
  • Follow mandated reporting requirements
  • Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities

Qualifications

  • At least 20 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to drive a 14 passenger mini-bus.
  • At least 2 seasons of experience or years working with youth.
  • Able to communicate and enforce policies and procedures to members, program participants, and guests.
  • Able to react quickly and properly in emergency situations.
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must complete New Staff Orientation, Child Abuse Prevention, and Blood Bourne Pathogen training within first 30-days of employment.
