The Safety & Risk Management Director supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This role provides strategic leadership and oversight for the YMCA of Greenville’s risk management, safety, compliance, and volunteer processes.
The Director ensures the Association upholds the highest standards of workplace, aquatics, and child safety, while maintaining regulatory compliance. Serving as a subject matter expert and thought partner for Association leadership, this position drives a proactive, risk-aware culture through staff mentorship and cross-departmental collaboration.
Candidates with strong programmatic leadership experience—particularly in aquatics, camp, youth development, or other high-safety environments—are encouraged to apply, as these backgrounds provide valuable expertise in building safety culture and effective risk management practices.
