The YMCA of Greenville is a dynamic and rapidly growing association that seeks to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The Swim Lesson Coordinator supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, this role coordinates assigned swim lesson operations, supports instructors, communicates with participants and families, and helps ensure programs are safe, organized, welcoming, and responsive to enrollment needs.
This position organizes assigned work and provides on-deck direction and coaching but does not independently hire, discipline, terminate, set compensation, approve timecards or payroll, manage the department budget or expenses, or make final staffing decisions. These responsibilities remain with the Aquatics Director or other appropriate designated leadership. The coordinator is responsible for accurate private-lesson package redemption records and timely escalation of concerns and has the authority to direct assigned swim-lesson staff and coordinate day-to-day lesson operations during scheduled shifts.
